About me

I spent years keeping the books for a small olive oil company, so tidy columns make me happy. When the company closed, I decided to learn how the web works. I am raising two boys on my own and study in the evenings, when the house is quiet.

My learning journey

  1. Started with an HTML table, a caption and proper header cells
  2. Styled tables with borders, padding and striped rows
  3. Learned JavaScript operators and Math.round for money values
  4. Built a budget planner that adds up categories with a function
  5. Finished with a calculator that refuses to divide by zero
