A volunteer network of women working in technology
Brightknot is a volunteer network of women working in technology. We run online meetups, mentoring circles and talks in Turkish and English. Members range from people writing their first lines of code to team leads.
Tech teams need more women in technical and leadership roles, and many employers now say so openly. Networks help new developers find mentors, role models and first contacts in the field.
Small online groups led by an experienced member, meeting in the evening. Together you set goals, review portfolios and talk through job applications.
A short programme for members who want to lead: you plan and host a small online meetup with support from the network. You learn to invite speakers, guide a discussion and follow up with participants.
All events are online or in step-free venues, with recordings and captions. Mentoring circles meet in the evening, and members can join with cameras off. We also share a short guide for employers on inclusive interviews.
